Convert images from PNG to JPG/JPEG using an app
In this method, we are going to use an external app to convert images from PNG to JPG/JPEG. You can also use it to convert JPG/JPEG to PNG.
Step 1: Go to play store on your device and search Image converter- PNG/JPG/JPEG.
Step 2: Download and install the App
Step 3: Provide the required Permission. It only asks 2 permission. Provide access to storage and camera.
Step 4: On the App page you will be listed with 3 options- a single image, Multiple images, and results. You can also bulk convert images from one format to another image format.
Step 5: Select a Single image to change the image format of the single image or Multiple Images from converting Multiple images.
Step 6: Select the source. In my case, I am choosing My files. You can choose anyone.
Step 7: Select the images and Tap on Done.
Step 8: Select the Convert Format. You can convert the selected image to Pdf, WEBP, GIF., and Select the Compress level. Based on the compress level the image size will be shown below. You can increase or decrease it using the compress level.
Step 9: Tap on the Tick Mark on the bottom. The image will be converted and saved.

While using an online converter, Always use the one which is from a trusted source. In this method, we are going to use png2jpg.com
Step 1: Go to your browser and type https://png2jpg.com/ on the address bar.
Step 2: Click on Upload your Files and upload an image that you want to convert from png to jpg/jpeg.
Step 3: Wait for some time for conversion to complete and after the conversion click on download.
Step 4: Provide the location to save the image and the converted image will be saved on your device
Convert images from PNG to JPG/JPEG by Renaming
By renaming the file extension you can change the format of the image but, You won’t get all the properties and features associated with the specific file format. To open a file in the app that only uses JPG/JPEG, You can use this method
Step 1: Go to File Explorer on your smartphone. You can also edit directly using the gallery.
Step 2: Go to the Folder in which you have saved the image and Open the image
Step 3: Tap on the edit or File Info. Then select filename
Step 4: Remove the .png extension and insert .jpg and click on save
Step 5: the image will be converted from .PNg extension to .jpg extension.

Step 1: Go to settings. Then Go to Advanced features.
Step 2: Select Screenshot in Advanced features.
Step 3: Tap on the Screenshot Format. and select JPG
Step 4: All the further screenshots will be saved in jpg format.

You can use the Online Converter tool used in the above methods. Any images edited in iOS devices are saved in jpg/jpeg format. You can also use the external app to convert the image from PNG to JPG or vice versa. We are going to use the simple Edit method to change the image format.
Step 1: Go to the Photos app on your iOS device. and Open the image that you want to convert.

Step 1: Start your PC and head on to the file explorer you can also do it on the PHotos application.
Step 2: Select the image file and right-click on the selected file and select rename.
Step 3: Remove the existing .png extension and insert .jpg extension
Step 4: Click on save. The image format of the file will be changed.

In Linux, We are going to use the command line to convert images from one format to another format. For this, We will need an application called ImageMagick
At the first download the ImageMagick application to your Linux PC. Use the command below to install it.
Debian/Ubuntu/Mint: Sudo apt install ImageMagick or Sudo apt install ImageMagick
Fedora/centOS: Sudo dnf install ImageMagick
Arch Linux/Manjaro: Sudo pacman -s ImageMagick

Now you have downloaded the application. You can access the application directly or you can use the command line.
Step 1: Open the terminal or command prompt on your Linux system
