Yes, You can hide contacts on Android. Even you can hide contacts on a PC or iPhone. Most of the Android Devices have built-in Option Hide and unhide contacts. Even if your device doesn’t have an inbuilt option. You can use an app for it. There are also several apps on Playstore to Hide contacts or Apps.

How to Hide Contacts on Android
In this method, We will show a general method to hide contacts that are applicable for all smartphones. Skip to the next method if you own a Samsung device. This method not may work for all devices. Below are some of the device-specific methods.
Step 1: Go to contacts and select an individual contact by clicking or tapping on it.
Step 2: Now select Edit or click on Pencil Icon to Edit the contact.
Step 3: Scroll Down till you see Additional Information. On some devices, you can find it by clicking on 3 dots.
Step 4: Check the Hide option and click on save. Your contact will be saved and Hidden.
How to Hide Contacts on Samsung
Settings on Samsung on slightly different from others smartphones. if you own a Samsung device using this method instead of the above method. Not all smartphones have this feature. If this doesn’t work. Then Go to the next method which is performed using an external app.
Secure Folder is available on Samsung S series smartphone. You can also download it from the play store. However, Some series won’t support it.
Step 1: Go to Settings on your Samsung smartphone.
Step 2: Go To Biometrics and security and then scroll down to Secure Folder and Tap on it.
Step 3: Click on continue. If you are not logged in you will be asked to sign in.
Step 4: Click on the Lock type and Select Lock Type. You can choose PIN, password, Pattern, or biometrics.
Step 5: Set the lock and confirm it. You can also add optional options such as biometrics. Including biometrics will be helpful for faster access.
Step 6: Go to Contacts and select the contact you want to hide. Then click on Info or edit.
Step 7: Click on the 3 dots on the top right side. You will be listed with options.
Step 8: Select or click on Move to Secure Folder. You will be asked to provide a password. Unlock and you are ready to Go.
By this, you have hidden contact on your Samsung device. You can find the hidden contacts in the secure folder. To find the folder using the search option.
How to Hide Contacts using External App
In this method, We will be using the App called HiCont.
Step 1: Download HiCont from Playstore. You can also use other Apps.
Step 2: Open the app and proceed with it. Give the app Required permission. it only requires permission to access contacts
Step 3: You will be asked to Select lock type. You can select Calculator, Pattern, or Number Password. Select the one you like. Most people prefer Calculator Lock to hide contacts.
Step 4: You will be asked to create a lock. Enter the PIN, password, or pattern and confirm it.
Step 5: Add the Recovery mail, so that you won’t lose contacts. Even if you forgot the Lock Key or PIN. You can still get your contacts back using The recovery Mail. It can also be used to Reset the PIN.
Step 6: Select the Contacts which you want to hide by tapping on the hiding Symbol. You will be asked to confirm. Click ok.
Now you have successful hidden the contacts. You can find Hidden contacts By going to hidden contacts on the App.
You can Unhide the contacts by selecting contacts and Tapping on hiding/Unhide.
How to Hide contacts in Google Contacts
Step 1: Open up your browser and type https://contacts.google.com/ in an address bar and press enter. You cant Hide Contacts using the google Contacts apps. hence we are going to use the web version.
Step 2: Sign in with your Account and continue. Make sure you sign in with the account that you used to store contacts. If there are no contacts on your google account then you have to move it to your account.
Step 3: Select the contacts that you want to hide and click on the edit Option.
Step 4: Click on the 3 dots and select Hide from Contacts. The selected Contacts will be Hidden.
How to Hide Contacts Saved on SIM
This is the easiest method and works on all devices. It even works on older versions of android. You can also use this method on non-android devices and basic phones.
Step 1: Move the contacts which you want to Hide to SIM. If there are any contacts on your SIM that you don’t want to Hide, Move them out of the SIM.
Step 2: Go to your Apps and select contacts.

How to Hide Contacts without Numbers on Android
Sometimes Contacts without Phone numbers are annoying. you may have saved them for different reasons. Whatever your reasons are hiding them would be the better option.
Step 1: Open your contacts app. Then navigate to settings.
Step 2: Settings option can be either found by clicking on the Menu option or 3 Vertical dots.

Have to notice an incoming call without a Number, even you can do it. This helps you to prevent your number shown in other devices. This trick only works temporarily.
Step 1: Open your Dialpad and Type *-6-7, Then enter the number you want to call.
